DOCTORS WARN ABOUT FLU SEASSN
DOCTORS warn Australia faces a severe flu season, with declining vaccination rates among high-risk groups. Only 61% of adults over 65 and 25% of children under five were vaccinated last year. Bupa Medical Director Dr Tony MacDermott urges Australians to get the flu shot between April and May to protect against the early, intense season. Flu cases have already doubled compared to last year, raising fears of widespread preventable illnesses, hospitalisations, and deaths if vaccination rates don't improve.
