Former Socceroo transforms his Coast home for World Cup

FORMER Socceroo Andrew Redmayne has transformed his Central Coast family home into the ultimate FIFA World Cup 2026™ fan zone as Australia prepares for its opening match today.

The former goalkeeper, affectionately known as the “Grey Wiggle” for his memorable penalty shootout antics, has decked out his home with green and gold supporter gear, football memorabilia and the new LEGO® Editions FIFA World Cup™ Official Trophy and LEGO® Editions Football set.

Redmayne is encouraging Australians to embrace the excitement of the tournament by gathering with family and friends to support the Socceroos from home.

Ahead of Australia’s first match, Redmayne opened the doors to his football-themed home, sharing some of his favourite FIFA World Cup memories, personal match-day traditions and his enthusiasm for the tournament.

He became a national sporting hero in 2022 when he came off the bench during Australia’s World Cup qualifying playoff and made the decisive save that secured the Socceroos’ place at the tournament.

He later enjoyed a successful career with Sydney FC before returning to the Central Coast to join the Central Coast Mariners.

One of Australia’s most decorated domestic goalkeepers, Redmayne has won five A-League Championships and remains a popular figure among football fans.

Now a father of two, he is combining family life with his passion for the game as he joins millions of Australians preparing to cheer on the Socceroos at the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
