CENTRAL Coast students returning to school will benefit from a new bus timetable designed to deliver more reliable journeys and better alignment with school bell times.
Transport for NSW worked with bus operator Red Bus CDC NSW to refine services following community feedback. The adjusted timetables took effect from June 29 across the Gosford, Erina, Wyong, Ourimbah, Tumbi Umbi and Terrigal areas, supporting students at 32 schools.
Minister for the Central Coast David Harris said the changes would ensure safer, more reliable travel and reflected the government's ongoing commitment to improving regional public transport connections.
Member for Gosford Liesl Tesch said feedback from students and parents showed some services hadn't aligned with school bell times, creating difficulties during the morning and afternoon rush. She said the government has acted to improve connectivity, giving students faster, more direct journeys to school as part of broader efforts to strengthen public transport across the growing region.
