MOTHERS DAY FLOWERS SUPPORTING MANY

Rotary offering beautuful bunches
FRESH, locally grown and beautifully wrapped, the Rotary Club of Gosford City’s Mother’s Day flowers are once again set to brighten homes across the Central Coast, while quietly making a difference behind the scenes.

This Mother’s Day, the Club is inviting the community to pick up a ready-to-gift bunch, complete with ribbon and prepared fresh that morning, for Mum, a friend, a loved one, or even as a simple act of remembrance.

On Sunday May 10 from 7am until sold out, Rotary volunteers will be selling 500 fresh flower bunches across three convenient locations:

McDonald’s – West Gosford.
Anaconda – West Gosford.
The Appliance Centre – East Gosford.

Each bunch is locally sourced, freshly prepared, and ready wrapped. But this is more than a bunch.

At a time when many households are feeling the pressure of rising costs, this small purchase delivers impact beyond the moment – supporting a local wholesaler, local volunteers, and a range of grassroots projects across the Central Coast.

Over the past year, funds raised have helped support initiatives including:
  • Walk It Off – supporting mental health through connection, movement and community.
  • SafeLink Alliance – assisting vulnerable individuals and families with safety and support.
  • She Rests – providing connection, education and rest for mothers of children with autism.
  • Words on the Waves: Ripples Program – inspiring young readers and writers across the region.
  • Coastal Twist Festival (FunHaus Factory) – a six-day celebration of LGBTIQIA+ arts and culture, bringing inclusive, creative and thought-provoking experiences to the Central Coast.

President, Michael McQuade said the fundraiser reflects what Rotary does best - practical, local support that adds up to something bigger.

“This is a simple way for people to give, even when times are tight,” Mr McQuade said. “You’re buying something beautiful, but you’re also backing local organisations, supporting important programs, and keeping that impact right here in our community.”

With only 500 bunches available, Rotary is encouraging people to get in early.

“Every year these sell quickly,” Mr McQuade said. “And every bunch makes a difference in its own way.”
